My fellow APA colleagues,
It is the holiday season and once again it is time for the APA Election 2015.
I urge you to VOTE as your vote counts especially this time when the future of our profession is on the line.
While we in APA continue to be fortunate in having outstanding candidates to represent us, I am writing to express my strong support for APA President-Elect for my longtime friend and colleague, Barton J Blinder, MD PhD DLFAPA.
Bart has a deep knowledge of the science, practice, and the complexities of both our profession and the world we now are practicing in. He is a well-tested leader having served for decades in a variety of leadership positions in organized psychiatry at all levels in the APA with distinction. He has a national reputation for excellence. He is known as a devoted, strong, clear headed and thoughtful leader. As our President he will safeguard the diversity of our practice settings, work to assure our satisfaction in the practice of our profession by fighting unreasonable regulatory interferences and reimbursement while fighting for full access to psychiatric care for our patients.
